Installation & Setup

Download the installer from the Download page (choose QboqoOfficeProPlusSetup.exe for the all-in-one suite or the .msi for core office apps).

Default Installation Directory:
C:\Program Files\Qboqo

The setup wizard automatically creates Start Menu shortcuts for Qboqo Scrib, Tables, Present, Draw, Formula, Database, Notes, Mail, and Connect.

Your 30-Day Free Trial

When you first open a document, Qboqo begins a 30-day evaluation period with every single feature unlocked. A clean indicator in the status bar shows your remaining trial days.

Activating Your License Key

Once you have purchased a license key, follow these simple steps to permanently activate your workstation:

  1. 1Open any Qboqo application (e.g., Qboqo Scrib or Tables).
  2. 2Navigate to the top menu bar and click Help ▸ Activate Qboqo…
  3. 3Enter your 20-character license key (format: QBQO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX).
  4. 4Click Activate. You will receive confirmation: “Activation successful — editing is now enabled.”
Offline Note: Activation requires an internet connection once to contact api.qboqo.com. After that, Qboqo operates 100% offline.

Moving Your License to Another PC

Each single-seat license is bound to one computer at a time. When upgrading or replacing your computer, transfer is seamless:

On your current (old) PC:

Open Help ▸ Activate Qboqo… ▸ Deactivate (move to another PC).

On your new PC:

Install Qboqo and enter your original license key. It will activate immediately without requiring support intervention.

When a Trial or Subscription Ends

If your trial concludes or your term license expires before renewal, Qboqo transitions to non-destructive read-only mode.

Your documents are never locked: You can open, view, inspect, and print all your existing documents. Document editing and new saving are paused until you activate a renewed key.

Working with Microsoft Office Formats

Qboqo is configured to open and save in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx by default. You can also work with OpenDocument formats (.odt, .ods, .odp), RTF, and export directly to PDF.
